Audition Process

All of the videos for choreography, technique, and audition materials to be considered for the Pride of New Mexico Color Guard are available below. There will also be clinics held throughout the summer to help clarify the material and to assist in developing your skills for the audition material. To find out more information, you can go to the Guard Band app page to find the Zoom links or you can contact your squad leaders.

Please submit (using the form below) a link to a YouTube video of yourself completing each Segment every two weeks following the dates below. These videos are your audition, so make sure they are reflective of your best work.

Every two weeks you will complete a submission of the corresponding segment, this should give you plenty of time to complete and not overwhelm you to complete submissions.

HOW DO I JOIN

  1. Contact our NMSU Guard Coordinator, Bailey McLellan at baileyrf@nmsu.edu

  3. Clinic Dates
    • In-Person
      • May 27th 12:00-6:00pm (Guard Camp)
      • June 10th 12:00-6:00pm (Guard Camp)
      • July 8th 12:00-6:00pm (Guard Camp)
      • July 22th 12:00-6:00pm (Guard Camp)
  4. The in-person camps are to get contact time and practice with the Color Guard towards the audition. The Zoom Clinics are not mandatory and only serve to instruct, tutor or clarify choreography and act as a platform to engage the guard students that are unable to attend the In-Person clinics.
