Desert Winds
Desert Winds is an indoor marching band which performs around the country starting in early January. This group has had the opportunity to perform in front of thousands of people, including at the halftime of an Aggie basketball game. This revolutionary group has gathered national attention and has gotten other major universities scrambling to start their own version of the group at their universities.
There is an audition process for this band, eligibility requirements are that the auditioning member must be a part of the “Pride of New Mexico” marching band the semester preceding the intended Desert Winds season.
