Mariachi Orgullo
The most recent addition to The PRIDE of NM is Mariachi Orgullo. This ensemble combines Mexican culture and music with new and exciting performance opportunities! From the football field to the stage, members can expect to perform traditional repertoire, accompany the NMSU Folklorico Dancers, and be introduced to custom arraignments that allow the group to perform with the PRIDE of New Mexico and other musical ensembles.
Audition requirements:
Students interested in becoming a part of Mariachi Orgullo must send a video playing the following music:
- El Son de La Negra (with recording provided)
- Aggie Fight Song
- Tema de PRIDE (with recording)
- Singers may submit a video singing a mariachi song of their choice.
